Winter in the Huon Valley is special, with snowy mountain tops, sparkling frosts and magical light sloping across the landscape.
It can also be challenging!
Long dark nights, cold weather and more time indoors can leave us feeling flat, tired and stiff-jointed.
Happily, there are easy, effective practices that can light up our winter and help us thrive through the season.

In case we haven’t met yet …
Hello! I’m Alison
My way of practising and teaching is gentle and easy-paced. After all, most of us have already had enough practice at pushing ourselves and rushing around, and we don’t need any more of that.
My moving meditations are within a normal range of movement. The power of the practice comes from mindfulness of the breath and in cultivating kind, non-judgemental attention.
My sessions are welcoming and my teaching style is non-judgemental and friendly.
I love the seasons and landscape of the Huon Valley and I’m interested in all the Yoga tradition has to offer about working with the seasons and the natural world around us.
I’ve been teaching Yoga for nearly 20 years now, and I’m a registered Level 3 (Senior) teacher with Yoga Australia. I teach locally, as well as over Zoom and online internationally.
I live in Geeveston with my hubby Tom, where I also run a small market garden called Bonnie’s Bowl Kitchen Garden with Yoga Dog Bonnie.
I look forward to meeting you!
